14년 군 복무 시절 공군 헌병 특기를 배정받아 교대 근무로 인해 교회를 참석 못할 때가 있습니다. 지금의 스마트폰을 부내내에 쓸 수 있던 시절이 아니라 일병 달고 어느정도 시간이 지나야 PMP를 반입할 수 있던 시절이었습니다. 교회에 참석하지 못한 아쉬운 마음을 달래고자 휴가를 나오면 하루종일 '마커스 김남국' 목사님 설교를 전문 녹취록을 만들었습니다. 6개월간 총 3번의 9박 10일 휴가동안 23편의 설교와 신앙 메시지를 400p 분량 타이핑했습니다.

다른 이름은 없습니다. Hillsong Time Square

어떠한 장소여도 하나님의 말씀이 선포되기를 원합니다. 사회생활을 시작한 지금 출근길 위해서 다시 하나님의 말씀위에 서기를 원하기에 출근길 명설교 시리즈를 시작합니다.

WHAT IS LOVE?

I don't believe love is just doing the right thing. I don't believe love is just keeping commandments and I don't believe love is just being patient and kind and that's what love looks like when it walks and talks but that's not love. Love is passion.

사랑이 그저 옮은 일만 하는 거라곤 믿지 않습니다. 사랑이 그저 계명을 지키는 거라고 믿지도 않습니다. 그리고 사랑은 그저 인내하고 친절한 것만이 아닙니다. 사랑이 행동으로 나타낼 때 그렇게 보일 수도 있겠지만 사랑 자체는 아닙니다. 사랑은 열정입니다.

Let me ask you a question. Do you have a passion for God? Do you desire him? Do you long for him?

질문 하나만 하죠. 하나님을 향한 열정이 있습니까? 그분을 갈망합니까? 그 분을 보고 싶어하십니까?

Yes we all go through times in which our hearts are dull. Yes we go through times when we need to be encouraged. Yes we all go through times when our eyes are mesmerized by things they should not be. Yes we all struggle in that.

물론 우리의 마음이 무미건조할 때가 있습니다. 우리가 격려를 받아야 할 때가 있습니다. 우리의 눈이 그렇지 말아야 될 것에 매료되는 때가 당연히 있습니다. 맞습니다. 우리 모두 이런 것들 때문에 싸웁니다.

But if someone were to look at your life would they say, 'This person has a passion' not for ministry, not for mission not for evangelism but for God!

하지만 요점은 만약 남이 당신의 삶을 볼 때 '이 사람에게는 열정이 있구나' 라는 말을 들을 수 있겠습니까? 사역에, 선교에 복음 전도에도 아닌 하나님에게 !

DO YOU REALLY LOVE GOD?

At the sign of a genuine work of God in the heart is that you begin to hate the sin oyou once loved and to love the righteousness you once ignored. The question is not do you agree with that or are you challenged. The question is is that a reality in your life is it.

하나님이 진짜로 우리 마음에 역사하셨다는 증거는 당신이 사랑하던 죄를 미워하며 무시했던 의를 사랑하기 시작했다는 것입니다. 당신이 인정하느냐 아니면 도전을 받느냐가 문제가 아닙니다. 문제는 과연 이것이 당신의 현실이냐는 것입니다.

Young lady, young man, elderly woman, elderly man, middle-aged man in the prime of life is it reality in your life? Are you continuing to grow in your hatred of sin and your love for righteousness. That's the question.

형제 자매 청년 여러분들, 할머님들, 할아버님들 가장 왕성한 시기인 중년여러분들 과연 당신의 삶이 실제로 그렇습니까? 죄에 대한 미움이 커져가고 의에 대한 사랑이 커지고 있습니까? 그것이 문제입니다.

DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT ANSWER?

So it's not a question of do you wnat to do the right thing or do you want immoral or do you want to have a good life. it is this do you desire him.

문제는 옳은 일을 하고 싶다, 하기 싫다도 아니고, 도덕적이고 싶다도 아니고, 좋은 삶을 가지고 싶다도 아닙니다. 그 분을 갈망하십니까?

I hate preaching that goes something like this. You know you got a wonderful life there Yuppie. You got a really nice house and really nice job and you've got a really beautiful wife and you've god 1.25 children and you've got three cars and Subarus and Suburbans and you're just you got a great job. you got a great life.

저는 이런 식의 설교를 싫어합니다. '여여 참으로 훌륭한 삶을 살고 계십니다. 좋은 집을 가지고 있고 매우 아름다운 아내를 데리고 살고 있습니다. 그리고 당신은 여러명의 자녀가 있으며 세 대의 자동차를 가지고 있고, Subaru 교외에 살고 있으며 아주 좋은 직장을 가지고 있어요. 멋진 삶을 살고 있습니다.'

Everything fits perfectly in place. You just lack one thing. You lack Jesus that is the most disgusting thing you could ever say.

모든 것이 완벽해 보입니다. 그러나 딱 한가지만 부족합니다. 예수님으로 부족한 부분을 채우십시오. 당신이 말할 수 있는 것들 중에 가장 역겨운 것일 것입니다.

What would be more appropiate to say is sir Your life is noting. It has no value at all apart from Jesus Christ.

어떻게 말해야지 타당한 것일까요? "당신의 삶은 아무것도 아닙니다. 예수 그리스도가 아니고서는 무가치합니다."

He is not some little accessory that a yuppie puts on top of his life as though it were cherry on the top of icecream. You have Jesus and Jesus has you or your are barren and wasted and lost.

그 분은 당신의 삶에 주렁주렁 매달릴 악세서리가 아닙니다. 아이스크림 위에 올려지는 체리 같은 것이 아닙니다. 당신이 예수님을 가지고 예수님이 당신을 소유한 것입니다.아니라면 당신은 황폐하고 헛되고 잃어버린 자일 것입니다.

So it's not a quesiton do you wnat a better life? Do you want to go to heaven? Do you wnat to fix your marriage? Do you want all these things? No, Do you wnat God? Do you desire him?

그렇기 때문에 더 나은 삶을 가지는 것, 천국에 가고 싶은 것, 결혼 생활을 좋게 만드는 것 등등 중점이 아니라 하나님을 원하십니까? 하나님을 갈망하십니까?

DO YOU TRULY DESIRE GOD?

Everyone knows they're a sinner. They just didn't realize how heinous and terrible that is nor do they want to let go of the very thing that they choose to dring down as though it were water.

모두 자신들이 죄인이라는 것을 압니다. 다만 그 죄가 얼마나 끔찍하고 나쁜 것인지 깨닫지도 못하며 그것들을 손에서 놓고 싶어하지도 않습니다. 물을 마시듯이 일상에서 그 죄악을 계속 맛보길 원합니다.

So you see the question is not. Do you recognize you're a sinner? The question is sir as I have been speaking to you or maybe it's long-term discipleship over a period of time sir as I've been sharing with you and disciple in you what has God done to your heart?

그렇기 때문에 당신이 죄인이라는 것을 깨닫는게 요점이 아닙니다. 중요한 것은 '형제님 나의 말을 듣는 중에 아니면 제자 훈련을 받는 중에 이런 말씀을 나누고 훈련을 받는 중에 하나님이 당신의 마음 속에 어떻게 역사하셨습니까?'

People come to me all the time and they say I have a new relationship with God and I say well do you have a new relationship with sin because if you don't have a new relationship with sin you don't have a new relationship with God.

사람들은 항상 내게 와서 하나님과 새로운 관계를 맺었다고 합니다. 그러면 저는 죄와 새로운 관계를 맺었냐고 물어봅니다. 왜냐하면 죄와 새로운 관계를맺고 있지 않는다면 하나님과 새로운 관계를 맺은 적이 없기 때문입니다.

Has God done such a supernatural work in your heart through the Holy Sprit that although prior to that you have lived a life of ignoring God of hating God you now see him as esteemed above all things and you desire him above all things.

하나님이 성령님을 통해 당신의 마음 속에 어떤 기사를 행하셨습니까? 그래서 이전에는 하나님을 무시하고 싫어하는 삶을 살았다가 지금은 그분을 모든 것 위에 가치있고 뛰어난 분으로 보며 다른 어떤 것보다 갈망하십니까?

HE MUST BE EVERYTHING OR HE IS NOTHING TO YOU

God is infinite heaven will be an infinite chase and infinite tracking down of the glories of God. But most don't want taht even most who to attend evangelical churches don't really want that and I can prove it they don't want it now. If you don't want it now you won't it then.

하나님은 무한하십니다. 천국에서는 하나님의 영광을 영원토록 갈망하고 추구하는 곳이 될 것입니다. 하지만 대부분 이런 것들을 원하지 않습니다. 복음주의 교회를 다니는 대부분이 천국에서 그런 삶을 원하지 않습니다. 그것을 증명할 수도 있습니다. 지금 원하지 않는다면 천국에서도 원하지 않을 것입니다.

Because eternal life does not begin with dying and going to heaven. He says this is eternal life that they may know you, know you and that begins the moment he regenerates your heart and reveals to you this place ought to be a contradiction.

왜냐하면 영생은 죽고 난 뒤 천국에서 시작하는 것이 아니기 때문에 이것이 영생이라고 말합니다. 바로 그들이(우리가) 당신을(하나님을) 아는 것. 그리고 이 하나님을 향한 소원은 거듭난 순간에 시작된다는 것입니다. 하나님이 당신에게 드러난다는 것입니다. 이 장소는 모순적이어야만 합니다.

이 교회는 모순적으로 보여야만됩니다. 모든 면에서 우리의 신학은 깊어야 하고 뛰어나야 합니다. 학구적이라는 소리를 들을때까지 신학과 진리에 대해서만 생각한다고 사람들이 느낄 정도여야지 됩니다. 하지만 예배 인도자가 이 앞에 섰을 떄 이 장소는 흥분의 도가니가 되야 합니다.
